We are going to Lesotho on the 15th Feb, 4 days, 3 nights, its going to be a blast.
My favorite trip, Malealea first night, second night Semongkong, to see the Maletsunjane falls, (see photo below) then back to Malealea again. Have a look at www.Malealea.com beautiful place. 3 nights accomodation = R430! |
| A really scenic trip.
You are welcome to join us, maybe trailer to Malealea, it's a loooooong pull from Cape Town. We are riding from E.L. You would then do day 2+3 with us, 156km each way to Semonkong. The falls are 194 m high, the highest abseil in the world takes place there. |

Bought a brand new KLR650 today,
brings my total to 7.

Hi Allan
Compliments of the season....
Hope all is well your side.
Myself and Henry (cycle city) are going to ride XT500's to Swakopmund this year. Just thought I'd tell you. Do you still want that screen. I can sell to you for R650. They retail for around R860. It's still new as the guy that bought the white XT didn't want it. He's now sold that bike and bought himself the Kawa ER6N, silly man. Anway just checking if you want that screen and saying hi. Some photo's for you.
My silver and black XT which is going to be sold this week.
A Ducati that i came across on the side of the road near Rooiels.
My personal XT500's new exhaust. I re-jetted the main jet myself with my reaming kit and have a K&N filter in the stock airbox (don't know if they are still available). The pipe was severely hampering the performance so I cut the entire end plate off, the thing goes like a bat out out hell now but is very loud, I love it.
A 2 tone SR500 motor I did for a guy who is restoring an SR left in a garden.
A custom restoration I did for a chap last year. Very nice. (x2)

Hi Simon
Nice to hear from you! My XT is going sooooooooo sweetly now, I have at last managed to find a tank, sorry, I should have told you. Looking forward to getting your pics! The German site is awesome! Thanks, you can buy anything you want there, the prices are not too bad, I can see I'm going to buy some stuff there, German made accessories are always of good quality, and my XT's are both in absolutely perfect condition, so I don't mind spending the money on them. I'd actually like to find a modern frame with mono shock rear and disc brakes that would accept the XT engine, a friend of mine once slotted one into a RM 250 frame. Yup, I lived in Cape Town from '79 till '82 used to go to Cycle City with my XT!
Kind regards
Allan

Hi Allan
Got a real Africa Crosser XT500 in my workshop at the mo, I'll send you pics.
Came across an unbelievable site called Kedo. Go to www.kedo.com and marvel what the Jerries make for XT's. Not cheap but very nice stuff, I had no idea...
Still trying to get the tank from my source, he's busy putting his house in a container but I'll see him next week.
Hope all is well with you.
One other thing..., my friend Henry from the old Cycle City said your name sounded familiar???
Cheers
